István Stephan Spiegelberg was born in Germany where he worked as a DJ and test driver for BMW. He changed his life in 2007 when he exchanged everything for a small house and two hectares of vineyards in Somló. Back then, he did not even have electricity or running water in the house. István originally studied the teachings of Béla Fekete legend, nevertheless, he has a different approach to making wine. He believes that all Somló wines need time and the top wines should be opened 24 hours before drinking. The typical grape varieties for the Somló region are Hárslevelű, Furmint, Welschriesling and local Juhfark.
