Meinklang is a biodynamic farm comprising of three typical parts of a Pannonian farmstead: One part is devoted to wine-growing and winemaking, the second to fruit growing and the third to field crops. Each family-member specializes in one of the three aspects of farming. Angela and Werner are in charge of the wine estate. An outstanding methods being practiced here are the totally unpruned vines, called «graupert» and the extended maturation in concrete eggshaped containers. Meinklang has a cow on its emblem and it is not just a symbol. The estates actually owns Angus cattle herd. It’s the farms source for their own nutritious, organic fertilizer for lively soils in the vineyards and creates the closed circle in the biodynamic Demeter farming. The family also initiated the first holistic Demeter brewery where they refine the ancient grain beer out of the old varieties.
