Dolní Kounice, Moravia, Czechia
Dva duby (means Two oaks) is a small (4 hectares) family winery. Located in ancient town of Dolni Kounice (Czech republic, Southern Moravia) just 120 kilometres from Wien (Austria) where grapes are harvested and wines are made since Roman empire times. In the vineyards are grown Blue Frankisch, St. Laurent, Malvasia and Sauvignon blanc. The most important factor of our vineyards is The Terroir which is very unique for the fact that the subsoil is +500 million years old ( pre-Cambrian era) having a vigorous effect on all local wines. All wines are matured in acacia or oak barrels on the lees for +10 months.
