The winery was founded in 1998 in Villány (South West Hungary) by Horst Hummel whose great grandfather had been winemaker in Vojvodina until 1945. It is the aim of the winery to express the fine and elegant aspects of the outstanding Villányi terroir. Viticulture and vinification follow principles of low intervention. Therefore viticulture is biological since 2008. Since 2016 the winery uses biodynamical methods as well. Fermentation is spontaneous. The use of sulphite is minimal as well as fining and filtration (if applied at all).
