Vino Loigi is a boutique winery run by one man – Vladimír Lojda. He owns and processes grapes from two and a half hectares large vineyards cultivated by hand according to the organic and biodynamic farming principles. The vineyards are situated on the south edge of the National Park Podyjí. The production focuses on white grape varieties, mainly Müller Thurgau, Green Veltliner, Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot blanc, Traminer and Sauvignon blanc. Vladimír always harvests the grapes by hand. The grapes are mostly first pressed by foot and then, sometimes after long time pulp maceration, put into a wooden press. The wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation in wooden barrels, qvevri or in glass demijons. The wines mature on lees for several months. Part of the produce undergoes course filtration and is bottle with small content of sulfur, the other part is bottled without filtration or adding of sulfur.
