Marada Winery is a young family winery founded in 2006 in Mikulčice. The philosophy of this winery lies in simplicity – the least amount of interventions by the winemaker, the bigger room left for the wine‘s individuality. The wines mature in oak and acacia barrels with the minimal amount of sulphur. Characteristic traits of the winery: wine maturing over time, the use of only the necessary amount of sulphur, interesting soil profiles of vineyards (loess with larger content of Ca and Na, sand with mixture of gray volcanic sand). Among the grown grape varieties are Riesling, Gewurtztraminer, Gruner Veltliner, Welschriesling.
